I scour through the gig guides to see if I can find those artists that have truly had an effect on the culture after decades of being in the game. Anyone I can find ends up on this curated gig guide of legend-only shows in Sydney.

I would like to acknowledge that the gigs that are pictured here, the stages they’re played on, the bars and venues they’re held in, and the good times they represent, are all held on lands that were never ceded by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. I acknowledge these First Australians as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. I pay respect to the Elders of the community and extend my recognition to their descendants.
