There are punk legends and there are The Damned.
Famously one of the very earliest of all the Brit punk outfits – and now one of the longest-running – The Damned have been acing it since 1976. Thirteen albums later, they’re coming back to Sydney for a single show at Enmore Theatre.
Time hasn’t dulled their edge – as Louder Than War put it “No band has the right to emerge from the past like supercharged cadavers with such a zest and such an explosive power and sheer wild musicality.”
Musically influencing bands and artists from Slash to Green Day to Siouxie and The Banshees, it’s hard to overstate their impact, on both punk rock as well as goth fashion.
Returning with a classic lineup of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, this one’s got classic written all over it.
