This week was kind of an on-ramp for the year, with only the truly committed – or the canny – releasing new tracks in what is always a quieter week before the competition heats up.
As always, every track that makes it onto the playlist is A-OK with me but if I had to pick no more than five to listen to this week, it’d be these.
🎸 Lots of magnificently loud guitars this week with tracks from Westall66, Ghoulies, and The Lizards all smashing through the walls of the new year with noise and speed.
🕺 Logan Priest continues to show as much fancy footwork in songwriting as he does on the dancefloor
🧠 A truly lovely track from Alexander Biggs, cerebral and richly textured
