Featured Tracks This Week: #5 2025

Dancing, smiling, or screaming, there’s something for every mood in the best of the new releases this week from emerging, independent, and DIY artists.

Dancing, smiling, or screaming, there’s something for every mood in the best of the new releases this week from emerging, independent, and DIY artists.

As ever, all the tracks that make it onto the playlist are aces in my book but if I had to pick no more than five to check out this week, it’d be these.

🀝 Hachiku and Suzi both had new tracks to move the feet this week, with the former chock full of sharp, arty moves and the latter providing a soaring soundtrack to a quietly melancholy tale.

🎸 Appletinis drop their debut track, with bags of promise, a gradual build-up giving way to fireworks and explosions.

πŸ”ͺ your best friend jippy‘s latest track is wonky beyond belief, a tricksy little charmer guaranteed to raise a grin wide enough to cross a river.

πŸ‘ The Pretty Littles‘ first of the year shouts and sneers, a rattling barrel of rough-edged fun that screams at the world, right up in its face.
