Featured Tracks This Week: #6 2025

Another brilliant array of releases from Australian independent and emerging artists appeared on the racks this week, with enough moody introspection and/or or unhinged fun to fit whatever mood you happen to find yourself in.

As ever, all the tracks that make it onto the playlist are aces in my book but if I had to pick no more than five to check out this week, it’d be these.

🀝 Lotte Gallagher‘s dark musical delights continue to thrill, with another guitar pop gem dressed head-to-toe in jet black

πŸ”₯ Jack R. Reilly‘s charm shines across his latest album, ‘After The Parade‘, containing a series of already-released poetic and delicate singles alongside brand-new pleasures like this one.

🎸 Steve Bourk‘s woozy inventiveness is always a joy, and to get a whole album full of them is like all your slightly stoned Christmases come at once.

πŸ”ͺ Chloe ParchΓ©‘s latest track bounces off the walls like a giddy mad thing, a slightly depressing message wrapped in the sheer bloody euphoria of dancing your feet off. A song for our times if ever there was one.

🚐 CHEAP-SKATE hit the road again in their shabby, charming ‘VAN‘, all the fun of hitting the highways at high speed but without having to wonder exactly what that stain is you’re sitting on.
