“Day We Ran absolutely pack out Waywards tonight and give nothing short of the impression that they could have parked up here all week long and sold out every single night. It is *rammed* in here, and the front row is entirely made up of dedicated, young, female fans. I am the *only* bloke in the front row tonight, as well as the only photographer. This, plus the astonishingly strong set, tells the story that you are 100% sleeping on this band – while every girl with half a brain is already three steps smarter than you, and me. Again. The set itself is *incredibly* sharp: acoustic but jagged, rich but authentic, wall-rattlingly good songwriting matched with a genuinely impressive pop sensibility. I could drone on and on about it – and no doubt will – but right now, all I want to do is be down the front with the bright and fabulous young women who have already nailed this band down as a favourite well before everyone else has even laced up their shoes. What a show.”
