“Sometimes you watch a band of mostly normal people aiming to come off deeply weird. Fuzztronica come off like deeply weird people trying really, really hard to be normal. As such, this – predictably – ends up being the fully wildest set I have seen all year. I’m struggling to articulate how utterly batshit it all is – not one thing is normal, not one thing isn’t brilliantly executed, not one thing doesn’t set you utterly off your balance. You’re laughing like a drain, you’re dancing like a maniac, you’re throwing up horns, you’re wondering what the actual fuck is going on, and you’re doing all of these things simultaneously. It is KLF and Limp Bizkit and Franz Ferdinand and the entire indie sleaze scene and some evil Bond villain and a bag of drunken raccoons all getting together and (this is real btw) deciding to cover Salt ‘N’ Pepa’s “Push It” shortly before a song called “Bag Of Dicks”. It is utterly, utterly brilliant and I guarantee you that you have never experienced anything quite like it. Ever.”
