“Garage Noise lean towards grunge and pop punk, but they never end up over their skis, sticking instead to dark guitars playing sunny pop songs. There’s a ton of light and shade in this set, a sense they know just how much to apply accelererator or brake. That’s a hard trick to pull off, but it makes us all happy passengers, high-speed skims riding close to the walls but never crashing into them.”
