The shoegazey core is still fluffy and comforting, but it’s got an extra row of teeth – the guitars are a notch more savage, the drums a smidge more primal, the bass prowling a little too close for comfort. The danger lights are flashing even while you’re drawn, cheerfully, ever closer to it.”
