“Le Pie sings and drums and so what we get here is a set defined by voice and rhythm, not genre. The songs don’t easily fit alongside each other – one second it’s classic and full of soul, the next it sounds like Japandroids. It really shouldn’t work, but it obviously does, the wildly varying elements tied together through a shared beat, and a shared sound. Not just good – clever as all hell.”
