“Platonic Sex raid territories from Camp Cope to PJ Harvey to Hole but make everything they touch theirs, a heady brew of complexity, depth, and intelligence. There’s enough guitar wigout to keep anyone happy, but it’s liberally sprinkled with enough chunks of cold fury and doses of telling you which way is up to keep you on your toes. It’s a fearsome set, even in the quiet bits, which is a reliable sign of something sparking *just* right.”
