Raff Iacurto is also behind the night, and getting to hear this artist – better known for ten-minute aural barrages with the likes of Robot God – take us back to the bones of these and other songs is a delight, not to mention a giant surprise. It’s also clearly a musician who knows his onions inside and back and delivers this with the richness and power of a lifetime of music behind them. Grand, confident, and impressive – but without the accompanying tinnitus.”
