“Terrificus are less a musical act than an exercise in deliberate mischief, home-made instruments and distortion and experimental oddballery. A single theatre of the absurd wouldn’t hold Terrificus, you’d need a street full of ballrooms, and even then they’d be standing on the roof, chucking rolls of toilet paper at you, as indeed they spend some time doing today. At the very beginning of 2020, I wrote I’d be surprised to see another act as wilfully unhinged across the rest of the entire decade. The clock’s still running but I stand by it.”
