There are happy reunions, heady rhythms, and harsh reminders in this week’s crop of new music from emerging, independent, and DIY artists.
There were a lot of quieter, more introspective tracks out this week, but there was still enough energy in there too to help us make it through the summer storms.
This week was kind of an on-ramp for the year, with only the truly committed – or the canny – releasing new tracks in what is always a quieter week before the competition heats up.
