Jem Cassar-Daley‘s latest track ‘Slow Down‘ topped this week’s Most Playlisted chart, and did so – unusually – in its second week of release, not in launch week. Looking at the data, it’s one of several clear signs of an artist earning fast-growing support.
The playlist support isn’t happening in isolation either, but is growing alongside her audience numbers, with both tastemakers and listeners becoming converts at a rapid clip.
Audiences are catching on too. While still in the early stages, Jem Cassar-Daley’s Spotify following has been growing fast, increasing nearly four-fold in less than twelve months, a remarkable pace.
In terms of playlist support, there is both depth and breadth, with flagship, six-figure-following playlists like Spotify’s New Music Friday AU & NZ and triple J’s New Music Hitlist both supporting each of Cassar-Daley’s latest two releases.
With SXSW Sydney showcases planned for October, Jem Cassar-Daley is barrelling towards the end of the year with all sorts of momentum, with audiences and support growing and solidfying about as perfectly as any artist at this stage of development could hope for.
