Jem Cassar-Daley’s track “Slow Down” is in its second week of release but, while she performed well last week, this week everyone else caught on, propelling her onto more Australian new music playlists than anyone else. Taken together over the last fortnight, this excellent artist has caught the attention of just about every critic and playlister going.
Most Playlisted This Week
🥇Jem Cassar-Daley
🥈Good Morning, DICE, Maple Glider
🥉Mildlife, Luca Brasi, SLOE JACK, JACOTÉNE
Good Morning were a nose behind, as you’d expect for a project that size, alongside DICE, who continue to see really strong support as they grow like weeds.
Elsewhere, Maple Glider, Mildlife and Luca Brasi all gained widespread playlist slots, as did SLOE JACK, who kept up with a strong pace.
Story Of The Week though goes to the fabulous JACOTÉNE, whose latest track (Just a demo? Surely not!) saw this exciting emerging artist gain as many spots as some far more established acts. One to watch keenly for dead certain.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.
You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
