Most Playlisted This Week

There was a large drop in releases this week but no let up in quality, and those that rose to the top of the pile for Australia’s best new music playlisters included strong representation from newer and more emerging artists.

🍟 Takeouts:

Great to see Forest Claudette and Full Flower Moon Band (pictured) in the top spot, both artists getting heat from critics and playlisters this year
Fewer releases appeared on the playlists this week, more than a quarter less than last week
This week was dominated by more emerging artists with 10k or less Spotify followers (👏) – strong backing for Blusher, A.Swayze & The Ghosts, BATTS, and EGOISM
Story Of The Week was the standout support for Somber Hills‘ collab with BLESSED, which bounded onto the podium alongside (and ahead of) some more established artists
