Most Playlisted This Week
The playlists are still waking up after the new year break, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a ton of quality releases this week for the best Australian new music playlists to choose from. Well, for those who bothered to show up, anyway.

🥉ONEFOUR, Babe Rainbow, Winston Surfshirt, EGOISM, Dead Mall (24% of updated playlists)
🏆 It was a fairly quiet week of playlist updates as people still get back into the swing of the new year, but this week’s most popular pick, The Terrys, usually get a reliably broad number of adds (they topped the list in two different weeks last year and came second in a third).
💪 Spacey Jane returned with a bang this week, not only announcing a series of last-minute and instantly sold-out smaller shows, but with a new track drop too that caught a lot of tastemaker attention as you’d expect.
👀 Despite the lower amount of updates, it was still a strong week of releases, with more established names like ONEFOUR, Babe Rainbow, and Winston Surfshirt all getting good support.
🔥 The standouts of the week though were EGOISM and, particularly, Dead Mall, who both made the podium despite the woozy, still-waking up mood of the playlisters, and against some much more obvious competition.
