Most Playlisted: total tommy

Most Playlisted This Week

Fewer tracks were released this week – fully a quarter less than last week – but there was no doubt as to who ticked the most boxes for the best new music playlists in Australia, with total tommy enjoying a remarkable streak of support.

🥈Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers

🥉 3%

🍟 Takeouts:

  • It’s hard to overstate how unusual the levels of support for total tommy have been this year. Already the third-most added of the year, that breadth of backing is at a level usually enjoyed by artists like Genesis Owusu or King Stingray.
  • Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers‘ first new music since last year’s ‘I Love You’ album (featuring Softcult) was as popular as their releases have always tended to be, with wide backing across the lists.
  • 3% performed particularly strongly, with tracks from their full-length debut ‘KILL THE DEAD’ appearing on a notably wide range of heavyweight playlists
  • Outside of the top three, there were other notable additions, with DICE continuing to attract hefty support, and Ecca Vandal’s return with their first new music since 2020 welcomed warmly back.
  • More emerging acts like Becca Hatch and Johnny Hunter both kept pace and in particular, dogworld‘s position just outside the top three is a signal to keep an eye on that newer act.
