Featured Tracks This Week: #13 2025

As ever, all the tracks that make it onto the playlist are aces in my book but if I had to pick no more than five to check out this week, it’d be these.

Bonniesongs – Bittersweet (single)

🎢 Bonniesongs‘ latest is wistful but with a sharp gaze, something of the hypnotic running through it. It drives forward, gently but remorselessly, pulling you along with it.

Garage Noise – Cherry Red (from the ‘Daisybrain’ EP)

🎢 Taken from their ‘Daisybrain‘ EP, this new one from Garage Noise carries the all brightness and sparkle they can muster, a glittery blast of fun.

Ruby Gill – The Flood (from the album ‘Some Kind Of Control’)

🎢 Ruby Gill has been releasing track after track of quiet delights over the last four months, culminating in the full-length ‘Some Kind Of Control‘, where this track comes from. Like the rest of the excellent album, it’s restrained but flies freely, wheeling and soaring and twisting in the air.

Spike Fuck – Eternity & Time (single)

🎢 Spike Fuck‘s first release of the year appears in the form of this Velvet Underground-y and sharp-edged slice of melancholic whimsy, a lament with a wry smile, a slow-dance for the damned.

Appletinis – Girl You Think You Know (single)

🎢 Appletinis are two for two so far, with this – their second ever release – again hitting the spot, chock full of bounce and crackle, lit up with bright neon and glinting chrome.
