“Shutup Shutup Shutup drove a long way from Brisbane to see us, and – honestly – not enough of us repaid the favour. Which was daft, because it’s a cracker of a venue in which to see a cracker of a band, yelping and screaming and threatening to tear the walls down. This is not a subtle band, this is a sledgehammer to the temple or an elbow to the throat, there is precisely – and I measured it – zero grey area. It pounds on your spine and your liver like a bastard with a bat, hairy and raw and throaty. “My Friends” might reference Jared Rubecki from Neighbours – which is the bit that everyone can relate to – but the whole thing is as brutal and as fun as Super Best Friends. Coming from me, that means this band are fucking something and no mistake.”
