Most Playlisted: Beddy Rays, Teenage Dads, Elizabeth M. Drummond

Teenage Dads’ “Teddy” and tracks from Beddy Rays’ self-titled debut LP shared top honours on the best new music playlists in Australia this week, with both appearing across a third of the lists.

🥇Beddy Rays, Teenage Dads

🥈I Know Leopard, Telenova

🥉Dune Rats, Elizabeth M. Drummond, Maggie Rogers, Noah Dillon, Sampa The Great, The Buoys

I Know Leopard and Telenova both also did extremely well, as did Dune Rats, Maggie Rogers, Noah Dillon, and Sampa The Great. Great to see The Buoys’ killer track “Red Flags” still getting the attention it merits so richly too.

Story Of The Week though is Elizabeth M. Drummond (formerly of Little May) whose latest track “Congratulations” continues to be placed on some meaty lists, strong backing for this exciting solo project.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.

You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
