New Music Friday Roundup: David Guetta, Henry Moodie, Darkoo, KAYTRAMINÉ

Every week, my robots scour the biggest nine New Music Friday playlists in the world to see whose getting backed hard by the big green machine. This week:

🏆 The Champ: David Guetta

With his 26m+ Spotify followers, David Guetta was the biggest artist to appear across all of the biggest nine New Music Fridays this week, with “Baby Don’t Hurt Me“.

🚀 The Challenger: Henry Moodie

Henry Moodie isn’t massive on Spotify yet (80k followers), but his 5m+ TikTok followers ensured his latest track “eighteen” was quickly added to all of the big nine NMFs this week.

🥊 Punching Above: Darkoo

Darkoo’s been picking up momentum this year, and bagged spots on eight of the big nine this week with “Disturbing U“, a big signal of support for this rapidly-rising talent.

🧛‍♂️ New Blood: KAYTRAMINÉ

A collab between producer Kaytranada & rapper Aminé is only really technically a new project, but their first upload “4EVA” – helplfully also featuring Pharrell Williams – made it onto seven of the nine biggest NMFs, which to be fair isn’t really a massive surprise at all.
