“On the same night as we say goodbye to Max Quinn, we also get to say hello to a fully Max Quinn-ed Florida Man – for real, the emotions tonight, they are on a rollercoaster. Emotion is also at the core of this project, where Max can say that he’s writing songs about “these people” yet say it with love, where songs can be funny without being facetious, crazy without being cruel. The easy option is to mock – it’s a lot harder to recognise the humanity. Despite the meme version of Florida Man, he’s just as human as the rest of us.”
