“Lemon Larry & Rold Pigeon take turns at the front of the stage but the whole flows neatly between one and the other. Lemon Larry’s funky smoothness opens it up but while the delivery remains rapid and flawless, the mood turns darker through the set – the early tracks hit the feet but the later ones just plain hit. It crossfades neatly into the lo-fi tower-block stories told by Rold Pigeon. In mode if not in mood, there’s more than something of Mike Skinner in here, coming out slightly off the beat, but with tales as grimy as needed to pop it all right off.”
