“Suzi – annoyingly – has more than one boss-level talent. It would usually be enough for one person to be satisfied with writing and singing songs with power, skill, empathy, and insight. Just to rub it in though – and in the same way that Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison used to, God rest him – we might be dunked into sad songs all night long but we are led there by someone who takes deep joy in going there with us, and we get joy from going there with them. Suzi leads, we follow, we all share. After checking the raw data, I reckon that’s precisely two more superpowers than we are usually permitted in this life.
