“Rainbow Riders’ bewildering array of instruments that go ping and bloop allow them to conjure up a sprawling landscape of musical textures, from Tarantino surf lines to Moog-driven swirling. Over the top are wonko storylines about deserting husbands, flirting in foreign languages, and other such charming oddities. A gleeful bag of mischief and playful invention.”

I would like to acknowledge that the gigs that are pictured here, the stages they’re played on, the bars and venues they’re held in, and the good times they represent, are all held on lands that were never ceded by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. I acknowledge these First Australians as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. I pay respect to the Elders of the community and extend my recognition to their descendants.
