Punk pop legends Buzzcocks are returning to Sydney for the first time since the death of founding member and singer Pete Shelley, playing the Metro Theatre on 1st Nov.
Co-songwriter Steve Diggle has stepped into the frontperson role, with new guitarist Mani Perazzoli joining the lineup. The Buzzcocks Are Coming tour will run across Australia from Perth, through SA, VIC, and NSW, and up to Brisbane, taking in their first date in Newcastle, NSW.
Their first post-Shelley album in 2022, ‘Sonics In The Soul’ was widely well-received, and added to their illustrious, glorious songbook, their Sydney show will no doubt be a celebration of their past and current work, as well as a tribute to absent friends.
