Skeleten has proven himself as popular with playlisters as with audiences, with consistent tastemaker support and a rapidly increasing Spotify follower count.
For several weeks this year, Skeleten was outperforming a ton of more established acts in terms of adds on the best Australian new music playlists.
Spotify, Triple J, and The Guardian’s lists all backed Skeleten in recent months, and it’s all happened while audiences have responded to the tracks. That sharp increase in the rate of followers is a pretty powerful signal that audiences are both hearing it and loving it enough to hit the ‘add to library’ button.
Just because you get the spots on the playlists, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to get anything out of it – Skeleten though has clearly clicked with listeners, and it’ll be interesting to see how that growth continues over the coming months.
