Most Playlisted This Week
Darcie Haven pipped a lot of more established players to bag the top spot this week, gaining more spots on the best Australian new music playlists than any other artist.
🥇Darcie Haven (appeared on 35% of updated playlists)
🥈Beddy Rays (30%)
🥉 Ocean Alley, ONEFOUR, Mallrat, Hazlett, DICE, Jade Imagine, Merpire (26%)

🏆 Darcie Haven romped to the top spot this week, with her latest single ‘Hounds’ bagging more spots than some significantly more established artists. It might not have been a particularly large week for releases – there were less than 600 different tracks added across the lists I track, which is pretty slow – but that doesn’t mean the competition was any less fierce.
💪 Beddy Rays are consistently popular across the lists whenever they release anything, and this week was no different. Always high energy, high quality, and consistently high up on the list of choices for playlisters too.
🔥 Ocean Alley, ONEFOUR, Mallrat, and Hazlett were among the heavier weight releases this week and despite being pipped to the top spot, the support they gained this week was notably strong and proportionate to their quality and broad appeal.
🔥 DICE performed strongly to keep pace with artists like those, but not surprisingly so – they’re consistently well-backed on the playlists and this was their fourth podium finish in less than a year.
👏 Finally, Jade Imagine and Merpire attracted notable support – especially for more emerging artists – to keep pace with these more bold-faced names. It wasn’t just on the more independent playlists though, they also both bagged coveted spots on New Music Friday AU&NZ.
