Both Hatchie & DICE bagged top honours for the most spots on the best Australian new music playlists this week. DICE have grown like weeds over the last year, and that’s reflected in the popularity of their track “Stockholm” this week. Meanwhile, new tracks appearing on the deluxe edition of her “Giving The World Away” album also propelled Hatchie to the top of the list.
Most Playlisted This Week
🥇DICE, Hatchie
🥈Cub Sport, Sunfruits
🥉Adam Newling, San Cisco, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers
Two well-established artists, Cub Sport and San Cisco, were both only slightly behind, getting the sort of support they deserve and you’d expect, but it was great to see Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers (in week 2 of release no less) staying right near the top too.
Adam Newling did brilliantly well this week too, bagging tons of playlist real estate for his latest “Round The Houses”.
Story Of The Week though goes to Sunfruits, whose bubbling “Better Off Dead” EP saw their tracks take up more space than some far more established acts.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.
You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
