New tracks from Genesis Owusu, Saint Lane, and San Cisco were the most added artists across the best Australian new music playlists this week, with Saint Lane’s achievement also making them the Story Of The Week for doing so ahead of some far more established acts.

Elsewhere there were more tons of top-shelf releases, with Alex Lahey’s brilliant album gaining well-deserved support, as did the new Great Gable EP. Standout tracks from RVG, The Rubens, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard also got the sort of support you’d expect for artists of that calibre.
That said though, this was a notably busy week for the number and quality of releases, and it was clearly a tougher job than usual for playlisters to narrow down their list of favourites.
