Most Playlisted: Last Dinosaurs, Milan Ring

Honours were shared this week, with new releases from both Milan Ring (‘Mangos’) and Last Dinosaurs (‘RYU’ EP) gaining the most spots across the best new music playlists in Australia.

Most Playlisted This Week

🥇Milan Ring, Last Dinosaurs

🥈Psychedlic Porn Crumpets

🥉Big Skeez, Greta Stanley, Nicole Millar, Ninajirachi, Peach PRC, Surf Trash, West Thebarton

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets were only just a nose behind with tracks from their ‘Fronzoli’ album, with Peach PRC also strongly supported, as you’d expect for artists of this size.

Elsewhere, there was strong support for Nicole Millar, Greta Stanley, Surf Trash, West Thebarton, and Ninajirachi, the relatively wide range of tracks here reflecting the high-ish quantity of releases this week, up nearly 50% on last week.

Story Of The Week though goes to Big Skeez, who saw tracks from his debut album ‘Work Don’t Stop’ bagging a ton of playlist real estate this week, keeping up with or racing past some more established artists.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.

You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
