Most Playlisted: Lola Scott, Shannen James, Stellie, Loretta

Lola Scott, Shannen James, and Stellie all shared the most-added title this week, each appearing across the biggest spread of the best new music playlists in Australia. There was literally nothing to separate these three – all are emerging artists, all received the adds for a single track, and all three appeared on both a Triple J and a Spotify list (all appearing, in fact, on New Music Friday AU&NZ).

๐ŸฅˆLoretta, The Delta Riggs

๐Ÿฅ‰Allday, Amy Shark, daine, Old Mervs, Sycco

This is really unusual, but is a joy to see – all three are brilliant pop talents, and each of their tracks are well-deserving of their position at the top of the pile.

All three managed to even outperform the likes of Amy Shark, The Delta Riggs, Sycco, daine, and Allday, all of whom were just a smidge behind them in terms of support, alongside some strong support for Old Mervs.

Story Of The Week though – aside from the three winners – goes to Loretta, whose track โ€œdadโ€™s mercedesโ€ easily let them keep up with (and overtake) the support doled out to some much more established acts.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.

You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
