Australia’s best new music playlisters went for wider range of tracks than usual this week – a sign of the quality of releases on offer – but Matt Corby’s new track “Big Smoke” nudged ahead of the large pack to appear on the most lists this week.
Most Playlisted This Week
🥈The Teskey Brothers, DZ Deathrays, CODY JON, Mason Dane
🥉Mason Dane, Caroline Polachek, Pretty GIrl, Death By Denim, Eliott, Close Counters, KYE, Mali Jo$e, Milku, EDIE
DZ Deathrays and The Teskey Brothers also got their usual wide support, but CODY JON and Mason Dane were right up there with them, both acts enjoying support consistent with much more established artists.
Story of the week though goes to EDIE, whose second release “Front Row” got enough support to stand out from the huge pack of tracks, no mean feat in a week this competitive.

The images above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.
You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
