Milky Thred – Young

Coming off like the lead song from the punk version of Grease, this celebration of youthful antics is a spring tonic for the soul whether you’re a giddy-eyed teenager or a jaded old cynic. “We’re having the time of our lives / But we won’t always be this young” is a killer line – and even if you already know the latter to be tragically accurate, this bouncy little madman of a song still sounds and feels an awful lot like the former.

I would like to acknowledge that the gigs that are pictured here, the stages they’re played on, the bars and venues they’re held in, and the good times they represent, are all held on lands that were never ceded by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. I acknowledge these First Australians as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. I pay respect to the Elders of the community and extend my recognition to their descendants.
