Longtime favourites round here, Shaky Handz are the lo-fi racket to properly soundtrack a world in chaos. Taken from their latest tape (split with Bozos), this – like most of their tracks, it’s less than two minutes long – shows up, explodes in a shower of fuzz and lightly-rehearsed arty fun, and promptly leaves before outstaying its welcome. Musically, Shaky Handz tend to play happily anywhere on a scale of noise-to-song, and this one sits somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, warped guitars jostling for space alongside wildly catchy, if laconically-delivered, vocal hooks. Short, sharp as a shiny pin, and addictive as all hell – no more and no less than that.
