Most Playlisted This Week
An absolutely storming victory for A.Swayze & The Ghosts (pictured) this week, crashing into the list in the top spot, with ‘Tell You All The Time‘ bagging more slots on more of the best Australian new music playlists than any other artist.
🥇A.Swayze & The Ghosts
🥈annie hamilton, Barkaa (ft MINTY), The Rions
🥉 Gut Health, Mac The Knife
🍟 Takeouts:
- A.Swayze & The Ghosts are peaking at just the right time, locking in strong critic support shortly ahead of their SXSW Sydney appearance and their subsequent album release just afterwards (‘Let’s Live A Life Better Than This’, out Oct 25th)
- The Rions, Barkaa (ft MINTY), and annie hamilton were all just behind them by a nose though, scoring notable backing – in a normal week, this sort of support would be enough to top the list, and for annie hamilton in particular that’s a cracking result.
- Standout performance of the week though comes from Mac The Knife, whose glorious new track ‘Golden‘ scored slots with playlists across the board, outpacing some of the bigger names on the scene.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.
You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
