Amid a tsunami of releases this week (up a whopping 40% on last week) it was tracks from Ninajirachi’s album “Second Nature” that took up the most space on the most credible new music playlists in Australia.

🥈 ASHWARYA, Cub Sport, Fan Girl, Jen Cloher, KANADA THE LOOP, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Matt Corby, Vallis Alps
Because of the massive range of tracks on offer though, a ton of acts tracks were only a smidge behind, including new releases from Matt Corby, Vallis Alps and Cub Sport. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard also stayed near the top of the list for a *third* week on the spin, which is super-hard to do. Jen Cloher also ran a brilliant race this week, as did the wonky and excellent KANADA THE LOOP.
It was Fan Girl that gave us the Story Of The Week though, with the thundering “react (react)” powering its way to the top end of the list, a humdinger of a track cutting through a huge week of releases to take out more spots on these lists than some much-more established artists.
