Most Playlisted: Spacey Jane

And we’re back! New music is reappearing, and the best new music playlists in Australia are beginning to select their favourites – in this first week of the year, Spacey Jane took out the consensus favourite, with their new track “Lots Of Nothing.”

Most Playlisted This Week

🥇Spacey Jane

🥈Dulcie, Matt Corby, Royel Otis

🥉Gena Rose Bruce, Lazy Ghost, Memphis LK

Only a nose behind though were Matt Corby (who you’d expect to be right up there), as well as Dulcie, whose excellent new track “Test Drive” charmed its way onto over a third of the lists that updated this week.

Elsewhere, Royel Otis continue to garner heavy support, and Lazy Ghost also did brilliantly for their new track “Summer Is Here”.

Story Of The Week though goes to Gena Rose Bruce, whose latest track “Harsh Light” made it near the top end of the list, appearing on more lists than some notably more established artists.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.

You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
