Most Playlisted This Week
Each week, my robots scour the best Australian new music playlists and look for who is getting the love from the most critics and tastemakers. This week’s podium finishers:
๐ฅThe Rions (appeared on 36% of updated playlists)
๐ฅOld Mervs, The Terrys, Oscar The Wild (27%)
๐ฅLithe, Floodlights, Deep Sea Arcade, The Moving Stills, DIVEBAR YOUTH (23%)

Takeouts
๐ The Rions assume their usual position at the top end of the list, with their third podium finish in a year, and their second top spot.
๐ช The Terrys and Old Mervs – the latter on the back of their debut album – were also as well-supported as they’ve come to expect, both bands regularly appearing in first or second place on these lists.
๐ฅ Lithe has grown *explosively* over the last year in the hip-hop world, and continues to break out into broader-view playlists. A collection of bands rounded out the list this week, with Floodlights, Deep Sea Arcade, The Moving Stills, and DIVEBAR YOUTH all performing notably well.
๐ Oscar The Wild were this week’s standout performers though – a long-time personal favourite round here, they returned this week with the second track in their latest release cycle, ‘Big Think‘, and turned enough heads to place them higher than some more established names.
