Most Playlisted: WILSN

The new track from WILSN – “Those Days Are Over” – stormed into the top spot this week, with her fearsome vocal and dancefloor-scuffing tunes getting more adds from the best new music playlisters in Australia than any other.

Most Playlisted This Week

🥇WILSN

🥈Babitha, DMA’s

🥉Dulcie, Cub Sport, DICE, Kota Banks, Selfish Sons, Surf Trash

Right behind her though were DMA’s, getting the sort of support an act of that size would expect, as well as Babitha, whose outstanding “Brighter Side Of Blue” album has landed with a massive bang and a ton of support.

Elsewhere, Dulcie returned to the top end of the list with more backing for their excellent “Test Drive” track, while Cub Sport, DICE, Kota Banks, Selfish Sons, and Surf Trash also bagged a ton of playlist real estate.

Story Of The Week though is a bit further down the list in the shape of Turpentine Babycino, whose second-ever release appeared on more credible lists than acts many times their size. Their latest track “Calamity” bagged support from good mix of independent playlisters, and rightly so – here’s hoping that develops into a lot more support from the majors across the year for this excellent new artist.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.

You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
