This glorious ender from Le Pie’s first LP both gives the album its name and seals the deal on a debut of grace and strength. ‘A Room Of One’s Own’ emerges on the other side of trauma and heartache to find its own place in the world and on its own terms, a triumph of and within the self. It may be short and it may be quiet, but it is most assuredly not to be messed with.

I would like to acknowledge that the gigs that are pictured here, the stages they’re played on, the bars and venues they’re held in, and the good times they represent, are all held on lands that were never ceded by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. I acknowledge these First Australians as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. I pay respect to the Elders of the community and extend my recognition to their descendants.
