Obscura Hail’s new ‘Siren’ EP is out, from which this track is taken, and once again we’re treated to the off-kilter delights of a slightly sprained musical mind. Where previous release ‘Doomer’ was a full-bore space-cadet opera, this track is more kitchen-sink drama with its tales of taking selfies with Gameboys and pirating Living End records. It’s another delight, from a box full of them.

I would like to acknowledge that the gigs that are pictured here, the stages they’re played on, the bars and venues they’re held in, and the good times they represent, are all held on lands that were never ceded by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. I acknowledge these First Australians as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. I pay respect to the Elders of the community and extend my recognition to their descendants.
