The Buoys crank the generator for their latest, an insistent slice of fizz and energy, all wiry, urgent, and lean. Dead on three minutes long, not a scrap of energy is wasted here – there’s all the urgency and tempo you love but none of the superfluous flourishes you don’t. You’ll be digging out of your brain for weeks.

I would like to acknowledge that the gigs that are pictured here, the stages they’re played on, the bars and venues they’re held in, and the good times they represent, are all held on lands that were never ceded by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
