Most Playlisted: Milan Ring

Milan Ring’s consistently broad critic support put her new track ‘Photograph’ in the spot for the most added tracks on the most credible Australian new music playlists this week (and for the second time this year).

Most Playlisted This Week

🥇Milan Ring

🥈Dune Rats

🥉 Barkaa, Jess Ribeiro

Dune Rats were only a quick bong hit behind her though, with ‘Solar Eyes‘ gaining the level of support that a well-loved band of that size should rightly expect.

Barkaa followed up her success with ‘Division’ last November, once again bagging strong backing for ‘We Up‘ from some big Spotify lists (New Music Friday AU & NZ) as well as influential indies (Pilerats, Purple Sneakers, FBi Radio).

The Story Of The Week though belongs to Jess Ribeiro, who also got an NMF nod as well as a strong showing of slots across the board, a well-deserved achievement that put her on par with or ahead of some more established artists.

The image above is a screenshot of the top end of the full lists. You can see this week’s lists here – those are updated on Mondays and allow you to scroll down the whole list. That page also details a bit more about how the whole thing works and what the charts mean.

You can also listen to the most playlisted tracks on, er, a playlist that I keep updated here. This has got the latest 50-ish most playlisted tracks from the last month or so on it, and it’s a decent spin through recent tracks that Australian new music playlisters are adding. The playlists that I track are the same as the ones listed in the Playlist Guide.
