Sweater Curse – All The Same

Sweater Curse take perfectly good pop songs and then strategically hit vital parts of them with hammers. It leaves it in a shape that’s just about recognisable as a song with a tune and a structure, but you need to duck a few times to avoid the sharp bits that break off and fly at your eyeballs. Just like Swervedriver, the most wilfully obtuse band of them all, Sweater Curse take what you’re used to and then deliberately carve unusual noises and strange shapes out of it. If your mind’s open to it, this is *just* what you’re looking for right now.
